How RideLock works
From mounting your phone to sharing a clip takes four steps.
Mount your phone and start recording
Fix your Android phone securely to your motorcycle and tap Start recording. RideLock keeps recording even when the screen is off.
Let loop recording manage storage
RideLock records continuously and deletes the oldest clips automatically once you reach the storage limit you set, so you never manage files by hand.
Review and share
Open the clip library, then share any clip with an optional burned-in date, time, and speed to LINE, Messages, or any app you already use.
Built for how riders actually use a phone
No settings to fight with before you pull out of the driveway. Start recording, ride, and let RideLock handle the rest.
Loop recording
Records continuously and deletes the oldest clips automatically once you hit your storage limit — you never manage files by hand.
Share any clip, anywhere
Burn in date, time, and speed, then share to LINE, Messages, or any app you already use — RideLock doesn't decide for you.
Runs with the screen off
A background service keeps recording while your phone is locked, and adapts video quality if your phone runs hot.
Works fully offline
Needs no internet connection to record. An old spare Android phone (8.0+) works just as well mounted permanently on your bike.
Know before you ride
Live battery and free-storage status on the main screen, so you know your phone is ready before you head out.
Built for all-day shifts
Runs quietly in the background for hours of delivery riding, recording continuously without needing to be checked or restarted between drop-offs.
No data plan required
RideLock works completely offline, so recording never eats into the mobile data you need for your delivery app.
Use a spare phone as a dedicated dashcam
Mount an older Android phone (8.0+) on your bike as a dedicated dashcam, so your main phone stays free for accepting orders.
Grab, LINE MAN, foodpanda, and Uber Eats are trademarks of their respective owners. RideLock is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these companies.
Privacy, by design
RideLock has no server and no account system. The only network requests it ever makes are the ones Google Play itself needs to process a purchase or to show its in-app review sheet. Everything you record stays on your phone and is never transmitted.
- No cloud upload, ever
- No analytics, no tracking SDKs
- No ads
- Simple yearly subscription via Google Play
Frequently asked questions

Does RideLock require an account or sign-in?
No. RideLock does not require or support any account or sign-in.
Does RideLock work without an internet connection?
Yes. RideLock needs no internet connection to record. An old spare Android phone (8.0 or newer) works just as well as a main device, making it possible to mount a dedicated offline dashcam permanently on a motorcycle.
Is RideLock free?
RideLock is free to use for a 14-day trial. After that, a yearly subscription unlocks the full app, billed through Google Play.
Is RideLock good for Grab, LINE MAN, foodpanda, or Uber Eats riders?

What is RideLock?
RideLock is a private motorcycle dashcam app for Android. It records a rolling loop of video and keeps everything on your phone with no cloud upload, no account, and no ads.
Can I use my phone as a motorcycle dashcam with RideLock?
Yes. Any Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer can be mounted on a motorcycle and used as a dashcam with RideLock. An older spare phone works well as a dedicated dashcam, which keeps your main phone free.
Does RideLock record with the screen off?
Yes. RideLock keeps recording in the background while your phone is locked and shows a persistent notification while it records, as Android requires for background recording.
What happens when the phone's storage is full?
RideLock uses loop recording: once you reach the storage limit you set, it automatically deletes the oldest clips to make room for new footage.
Does RideLock use my location?
Location is optional. If you allow it, RideLock logs a GPS track for each ride to show an average speed and route summary, stored only on your phone. Recording works without location.
How do I share a clip from RideLock?
Tap Share on a clip and RideLock creates a copy with an optional burned-in date, time, and speed, then opens Android's share sheet so you choose which app receives it. The exported copy is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Which Android versions does RideLock support?
RideLock supports Android 8.0 and newer.
